The Society

The Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission of increasing literacy, community service, and community building.  The Society consists of two subcommittees - MISFITS and CONvergence

MISFITS

MISFITS serves as a forum and foundation for celebrating diversity and educational works to promote the appreciation of, and interest in, Science Fiction and Fantasy.

CONvergence

CONvergence is an annual convention whose mission is to bring people together to celebrate and inspire interest in science fiction and fantasy and its larger community. The convention is held on the first full weekend of July each year and acts as an annual fundraiser for MISFITS.

The mnsfsociety.org Web Site

This site will be the holding grounds for all the administration information and documentation for the organization. Basically we are placing the "business side"  information here freeing up the MISFITS and CONvergence web sites for the "fun stuff." So far we have posted the basics - but there is additional info to come.
